// Browsing(101) Playing(123) Pfiles(80,795) Clans(104) LiveFeed(down)
If an item is identified (via lore, identify, or other means), a message
like this is shown in the description: This level xxx item has the extra
attributes: [attributes]. We will try to clear up some of what the tags
mean here.
arena-only
Originally this was intended to be placed on a selection of weapons you are
able to choose from when you entered an arena.
atm
With this tag, you will always have access to your default bank wherever you
are.
blessed
Makes it harder to frag, or destroy, the item. Helps when you are fighting
mobs or players that use acid. Also increases the durability of an item.
donation
It's a donation item that can only be
obtained through real money, MM dollars, or through another player who obtained
it through these means (only if the item does not have the nouncurse flag).
enforce-level
Each item has a specific level assigned to it. If you are not at the required
level and have an item with the enforce-level tag, it will disappear in a
matter of seconds.
explode
If an item with this flag also has the throwable flag, then this item will
blow up when thrown. Any item with the explode flag also cannot be mailed.
insulated
Cannot be fragged or damaged due to a fire/cold spell or trap. Previously listed
as fireproof.
hide-long-descr
Basically makes the item completely invisible if dropped.
identified
You would not see this, or any attributes, without this tag.
invis
This item is invisible. No one, including you, can see it without the detect
invisibility spell.
locker
You can access your locker in Rune with this attribute on any item.
magic-resistant
You cannot cast a spell which alters the attributes of the item.
mail-receptacle
Any mail you get (either through auctions or other players) will be transferred
to this item.
nochange
This item cannot be restrung.
nodecay
The item will not go through the stages of decay due to normal use (slightly
damaged, nearly destroyed, et cetera). Useful for weapons and shields.
nodonate
This item may not be transferred to the location's donation room via the 'donate'
command.
nodrop
You cannot drop the item via the 'drop [item]' command.
nohide
You cannot hide this item using the 'hide' command.
none
Exactly as it says. Just a dummy tag if an item has no special attributes.
noremove
Once you wear the item, it cannot be removed until death or until a spell is
used to cancel the effect.
nouncurse
This item may not be removed from your inventory in any way. Also, if someone
CPK's (chaotic player kill) you, the item cannot be looted from your corpse
and will still be with you when you reincarnate.
no-auction
Basically you cannot put this item up for auction.
no-container
You may not store an item with this flag in a container.
no-dispel
The attributes of the item cannot be dispelled. Whenever you wear an item,
it has a chance of dispelling (fizzling). This will prevent that. All artifacts
are no-dispel even if this flag is not shown.
no-give
You cannot give this item to anyone. Can be removed using the 'remove curse'
spell.
no-identify
This item cannot be identified. Although you can't identify items with this
flag to actually see this flag, it theoretically exists.
no-mimic
Psionics cannot use the 'mimic' skill on this item.
no-npc
This item is not sellable to any shopkeeper.
no-rent
You cannot store this item in your locker.
no-sac
This item cannot be sacrificed.
no-save
Once you quit, this item disappears. You will get a warning message in red
if you try to quit with a no-save item.
no-steal
This item cannot be stolen from you when others try to use the 'steal' command
in a CPK room.
owner-only
Only the original owner of this item may use it. To switch owners, mail or
give it to a new person. In the case of the iron toy soldier (or anything
else made out of iron), you have to mail it to feys and sidhes to switch
owners.
permanent
The item stays with you, even if it is normally a one use item. For example, reagents. If you have a reagent with this flag, it won't be consumed during a spell.
phased
Phased was intended to make an item effectively "disappear" at random
times from a player's grasp - so it would still be there, but it would vanish
for awhile, then come back. It hasn't been activated though.
poisoned
Usually found on weapons, an item with this tag has a chance of poisoning the
opposition during combat.
reflect-magic
An item with this powerful flag (usually on shields and weapons) has the ability
to automatically counter projectile attacks such as fireball, and reflect
them back at the caster.
reset
This item, if worn on your body or stored (in your bag/locker), will be returned to your inventory when you
log off.
rot-death
Unlike normal items, this object will automatically decay with time - whether
you use it or not.
save-location
If Vassago or any immortal decides to reboot the machine, and an item has this
tag, it will stay on the ground even after the reboot. All items without
this tag will disappear after a reboot if it lying on the ground.
spirit
An item bestowed upon you only after death.
sustain-life
You will never get hungry or thirsty if you wear/wield an item with this attribute.
Also heard rumors of increasing your regeneration rate...
throwable
You can throw this item at another player or mob using the 'throw' command.
tradeable
Tradeable is a flag that will be used when the second phase of the ship code
is implemented; namely, allowing people to trade items at ports for other
items or money.
transport
An item with this attribute has the ability to transport players from one location
to another, whether manually or automatically.
trap
Exactly as it implies, this item is a trap. Not usually a good thing.
tweak
A very specific flag that allows items with objprogs to be lockered.
unbreakable
If this flag is present on lockpicks, it keeps the lockpick from breaking in
the lock. If used on any other item, it keeps the item from shattering due
to cold or burning due to extreme heat. If used on worn equipment, it reduces
the amount of damage done to it through normal usage.
vampire-bane
Prevents feed/vampiric type attacks from the opponent.
vanish-death
Just as the name implies, whenever you die the item disappears from your inventory.
vanish-if-dropped
If this item is ever dropped, it will disappear. Common on things you get from
item producing bags such as Vandemaar's Reagent Bag and a bag of tricks.
virtual
Comes from the vmap (wilds).
visible-owner-only
When on the ground, this item is only visible to the owner.
vis-death
This item cannot be seen (either through look or peek) unless the mob or player
carrying the item is killed.
weight-reducer
Only found on containers. If you put an item in the container, it will not
count toward your maximum carriage weight.
will-float
If you are in a body of water and you drop the item, it will float instead
of sinking to the bottom.
wont-fuse
Basically, the item is not made from any metal. An item with this tag will
not frag due to a shock-type spell.
